The City will never be finished, and it is for this reason that people need to be engaged in the debate over its future. Without being able to see what is happening and what is planned to happen, people are often fearful of change. This can lead to delay and increased cost as people resist what they don’t fully understand.
City Vision Southampton is the first permanent exhibition space dedicated to the architecture and evolving future vision of the City. Located in the City Art Gallery this exciting new design resource and visitor destination is a place where people can go to discover how the City is to change over the next two decades. It is also a place where architects and developers can showcase the major projects that are set to change the face of Southampton.
Based around a large scale model, City Vision Southampton will incorporate all major developments that are proposed for the City. |
